Book Trade-In
We offer store credit for your gently used books
Book buying hours are intermittent as we work to open the shop.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for good quality used books across a broad range of genres and subjects! That being said, we do accept books based on our anticipated ability to sell them.

Looking to trade in a hot book you found on #booktok, a good copy of a classic work, or a book that's currently on the bestseller list? There's a strong chance we want to take it off your hands!

What can I use my credit on?
All trade-ins will be issued store credit. Just let your bookseller know at checkout that you'd like to use your credit and they'll pull up your account.

Trade-in credit can be used for 50% off used book purchases and 10% off new book purchases. The remainder of your purchase must be paid in cash or card.
Example: For a $8.00 used book purchase, $4.00 will be deducted from the trade credit in your customer account and the remaining balance of $4.00 must be paid in cash or charge.

Trade-in credit cannot be used for any non-book items or antique/vintage books.
How does the process work?
As we work to open the shop, we're processing large amounts of books at a time.

Here's what you can expect when dropping off books:

Drop off your books during our drop-in hours (posted on our Facebook or Instagram), and we'll take your name, email address, and phone number, and create a customer account for you.

Within the next week, we'll review your books and determine what we can accept and what we cannot.

We will email you a list of what we can offer you in store credit. You decide if you'd like to accept, and what you'd like to do with any books we are not able to accept.

Any books that we cannot accept we can donate to The Clackamas Bookshelf, an amazing local organization that supports children's literacy. You can also pick up your books within the next 3 business days.
